What is veganism?

Veganism is a lifestyle choice that deals with ethics and concerns for all sentient beings. If you'd like to try becoming a vegan, you'd have to consider changing your choices of food to a vegan diet. A vegan diet means avoiding eggs, dairy products, poultry, and meat. A person who is vegan will avoid using or consuming products, cosmetics, and clothing that have animal by-products in them or required animal testing prior to selling said items in the market.
The focus of this blog is to educate you on several topics regarding the effects of how being a vegan helps certain processes of the atmosphere, the environment, agriculture, and the lives of animals. Each week I will introduce a different topic that relates to veganism and how it's impacting the world today. I'm not forcing this way of living on my readers. I simply want to give my opinions, my feelings, and the scientific facts behind the vegan movement.
Becoming a vegan isn't easy, I'll admit that. I first became a vegan about two years ago and I failed to continue that journey due to the lack of knowledge on veganism. Due to limiting myself on the many dishes I could still enjoy, I eventually gave up. The sixth of February marks my third month of being a vegan. In a way, I am still new to this. A guide that has helped me gain knowledge on what to avoid and what to eat is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA2) Guide to Going Vegan.
Of course, you do not have to completely change right away. First, you can try going vegetarian and then work your way in to becoming a vegan. I have indirectly influenced three of my friends to go vegan and one of my friends to go vegetarian. The movement is growing and I feel good about making a difference in the world.
